Clayfield, one of Brisbane’s earliest suburbs, is six km north-east of the central business district (CBD). It is an affluent riverfront suburb that features densely tree-lined streets and Queensland-style homes with high ceilings and wide verandahs. However, recent developments have brought in medium- and higher-density housings into the mix. There are Nightowl Convenience Stores and 727 Stores in Clayfield, as well as Coles Supermarket in Lutwyche. Shopping for shoes, clothes, accessories and other merchandise are available at Centro Lutwyche.
